Chase ling out of Galveston or kings/ state snapper out of Freeport

It's looking really good for Sunday and probably Monday. I'm tempted to try my hand at finding ling hanging out around the ships anchored out of Galveston, then trolling for kings over the two TPWD man made reefs off of Galveston. Then again, I could take the safe route and go for state snapper and troll for kings over Middle Bank out of Freeport where Big Zee and I got them last week. What does the 2cool braintrust think? Worth catching live bait and stalking the elusive ling this time of year?
