Finally saw the Stros Live.

After a season and a half I finally got to see the Astros live on TV.

I have recently moved to western Oklahoma where the OKC Fox channel carries the Rangers daily. It was the Astro/Ranger game tonight.

It is the first time I have seen them live since the end of the 2011 season.



Several things I noted right off.



1. Jose Altuve is the only player I recognized.

2. He has not grown an inch in two years.

3 Singleton has arms like legs. One strong dude.

4. Those youngsters can sure hit poor pitching. But so can the Rangers.

Both teams had a lot of poor pitching tonight. A 12-7 slug fest.

5. I can see why everyone says they will be very good in a few years. But

haven't they been saying the same about Cubs for a hundred years.

6. Springer needs a lot of time in the batting cage with a real hitting coach.

Tremendous power but he swings like a high school player.



All in all they were very entertaining tonight.

So after Wednesday there are six games in August and three in September v. the Rangers. I hope I see some improvement each time the two teams play on Fox. Go Stros.
