I have a SPOT Connect Messenger that i purchased this year and have used on 1 offshore trip. Works great by pairing to your phone through bluetooth and you can send out customized messages through you Iphone or othjer smartphones. I have a satellite phone now and will not be needing this device. They sell for $100 or so and i have used it once looking to get $70 for it.
