okay folks...got called for jury duty in Harris Co. This is my 2nd time being called. The first time I didn't get picked for a panel or anything. Basically showed up..waited....waited...waited...and then they said they had all the jurors they needed so the rest of us were dismissed right around noon.
Well, I just received my summons for a few weeks from now. The problem is my dad is having eye surgery just 2 days after when I am supposed to have jury duty. I have to take him to surgery, stay there, take him to my house after, and then return the next day for follow up with surgeon.
I guess my choices are:
1) reschedule jury duty
2) keep existing date, show up for duty and hope I don't get picked
3) keep existing date, show up for duty, if I get called explain my dad's surgery and see if they release me
am I missing any options?
