Bank fishing at Christmas bay

Hey 2cool, I'm new to fish at Christmas bay and need some location for bank fishing....rented a house for the weekend (close to San Luis bridge) with the kiddos and was hoping to take them fishing, is there any good spot to catch anything (get the lil one excited). Saw on Google map that there's a pier but hear that it was destroyed by recent hurricane. Thanks ahead
