Home was warmer than usual yesterday when I got home. I know the weather is crazy hot right now, but it handled it on Monday for the most part. Anyway, I have two systems. The upstairs is new, downstairs is old. The downstairs was the warm one (go figure). I checked everything I could out and it was all running normally, nothing was froze up, it was moving good air. The only thing I noticed was when I touched the small copper line on each system, the downstairs was considerably warmer than the upstairs. Almost couldnt keep my hand on it. And the air coming out of the condenser was cooler than the other as well. I turned it off and hosed down the condensor and that seemed to help. Course the sun was going down by then. It got plenty cool overnight. So do I have an issue or was it just too dang hot in a house with poor insulation? Maybe a clogged up drier/filter?
