HOUSTON - The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a father and son who went missing Tuesday morning. Officials said Brandon Orr and Phillip Orr were last seen fishing on the Brazos River south of Freeport. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Department called the Coast Guard station in Freeport at about 9:20 a.m. to report that it found an unmanned boat circling on the river north of the Intracoastal Waterway on the Brazos River.
Authorities said keys were in the ignition of the boat and two cellphones were found.The Coast Guard sent an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to search for the fishermen. KPRC 2 was told that the Brazoria County Sheriff's Department and emergency medical services are also assisting in the search.
