Well after shooting the bull with my gun nut buddies for the last several months about building some rifles I decided to pull the trigger on a Lathe and ordered it last week. This morning a big ol' freight truck pulled up at the house and unloaded the rascal. After a bunch of crying and moaning by the driver about how heavy the darn box was. I thought somebody was likely to die before he got it off the truck and put it in my workshop. SWMBO tried to tip him fifty bucks and he wouldn't take the money. Go Figure??
Now all I gotta do is figure out how to operate this newfangled thing, it's been about 30 years since I ran a lathe and the one's we used then were built in the fifties.
