Hole in My Boat

I realize that whoever has been putting metal stobs in the top of stumps probably meant well at the time, but you are the reason that I have a hole in the bottom of my boat.The top of a metal rod at the level of the lake at this present level is not a good thing.No need to worry about your stupid mistake now for I have removed this one from the lake. I did make it to the ramp and had about 25 gallons of water in the boat but I did get the boat on the trailor ok. For others, I do check that my bilge pump runs regularly by hitting the manual switch, and it was running but not pumping water out . After gettingthe boat home I learned that the discharge hose was plugged from critters or whatever, so from now on I will find a way tosee that it actually pumps water out and not just hear it run. Leasons learned, and I do hope that this little mind jogging note gets you to check your bilge pump thouroughly.
