Party boat advice

I have a company trip coming up with Galveston Party Boats, on the Cavalier.

It's an 8 hour trip. Is there anything I should take other then what they provide? Dead baits, lures, jigs, leaders? if so what?

Where is the best place to fish on the boat, front or back?

Any other advice?
