Hit the beach way before dawn and watched the sunrise; that in itself made the drive worth it. Just after sunup, the bite was on. Not fish, mosquitoes. The worst I've ever encountered. Even after the sun was up, I had to wade out to neck deep water and keep dunking my head and hat to keep them off of me. About 0800, they let up.

I worked green-to-the-beach water full of mullet and shad for 2 hours with nothing to show. Jr Super Spook, TT28, Psycho chicken, gold spoon, nothing got a bump.
I finally gave up and caught live bait and worked that under a cork, again for nothing. Last ditch effort, I put live bait on the bottom. Nothing but small blacktip sharks. A lot of them.

After 7 of these guys, with a medium sized ray and some enormous hard heads, I called it a day. Nice beach weather, not a great catching day.
