For those of you who don't know this - you cannot run around at night with your LED light bars on all the time - it's illegal and dangerous! Last night after making it back into West Matagorda Bay from the big POC jetties, there was a guy with an LED light bar that appeared to me to be anchored up fishing under his lights. What was really happening was we were on a collision course with each other from a 90 degree angle and I didn't realize it until we got too close for comfort. His red/green running lights were completely washed out buy the LED light bar and I also think he couldn't see me because he was staring straight down his beam of light which ruins night vision. He was probably staring a hole in his GPS too. How can you see something off to the side in the dark when the area in front of you is bright as day?
Light bars should be used like spot lights - quickly on and off if there is something you feel you need to look at. Even if you think nobody else is around, unless you have radar you won't know for sure because that light bar is blinding you (and others) to what is going on around you.

LED light bars - don't run with them on!
