I know it has been discussed on here before, but now its my turn.
Dr. said "it is not good, You need a total replacement in both knees". Well after 6 years of Football, 6 years in the Marine Corps and 25 years of flats and offshore fishing taking a pounding, I have fallen to sever osteoarthritis in both knees. I knew it was coming but now it is here. They hurt all the time and I am on pain meds just to get through a normal day. I am looking at the Vangard XP Knee Replacement system that does not remove the ACL. Most other replacements remove the ACL and have a longer recovery time. My question is, has anyone had the Vangard XL replacement and if so, how was the recovery and the post op out come. I will have to travel to Houston to have it done because only a few Dr.s in Texas do this one.
