I was wondering if there is a way to get a Satellite overlay map like Google maps satellite image for the Garmin 740s GPS.

325 milligram aspirin
Long story short, my wife woke up yesterday morning with numbness in her lip and hand on the left side, feeling weak and fading fast..
Non drinker and smoker.
always busy, running all over the place 120 lbs.
Good to go on all annual physicals every year.
Wonderful Dr. hill in Bellville St. Joseph Hospital ordered an echocardiogram, cat scan, ultra sound, and lab test right away. Told her while we are waiting to take a 325 milligram aspirin once a day every day, til he gets the results.
She woke up this morning after one 325 aspirin feeling almost normal.
Only posting his to help save a life.
Every condition is different.
According to my physician I take a baby aspirin every day , 82 mg at my age.
I guess there might be some thing to all those aspirin commercials after all.
Hope this helps some one.

What type of weed is this?
I have this stuff taking over my backyard here in Georgia. Got back from deployment and it was everywhere. Now that the temperature is dropping, it seems to be dying off, but it seems to have tons of round little pods(seeds i assume) all over it. What is it, and how do I keep it from coming back in full force next spring? I am in Georgia, if I have to I will take a clump to the lawn and garden center, but I figured someone here will probably know.
Opinions on Bertram/Hatteras/Viking
Opinions on Bertram/Hatteras/Viking ride
Wife and I are on the look for our first offshore boat, and prefer a sportfishing style boat. Have been scouring the web and after our initial research decided we wanted a Bertram in the 40 -50 range. More reading has discovered quite a few roll and pitch issues with that boat especially in the 2000+ year models. In addition to a short ride I took that opened my eyes a bit.
I'm sincerely interested in your thoughts and experiences as I want to do everything possible to find a lifer boat.
Thank you

Gel coat repair
I missed the bunkboards on my trailer while loading in yesterday's high winds and outgoing tide on Sabine Lake. Gouged out the gel coat on the keel. I'm looking for a reputable repairman in the Baytown to Kemah areas. I've heard of a man by the name of Orlando in the Kemah area. Can anyone give me any info on him or someone else good? Thanks

Duck and Goose Lease
We had people that dropped out of our waterfowl club from lack of funds. They sent in a very small deposit that held their spot. Now they can’t pay so we are selling their spots at a discount. If you are still looking for a duck and goose lease with property from Katy, Eagle Lake, Chesterville, South Lissie, Edna and surrounding areas. This is a waterfowl lease for single guns, and groups. You can hunt every day of the waterfowl season with free guest spots. We are not a guide company and we do not run guided hunts on the land . All the land is for our Riceland Waterfowl Club members and guest only. Just so you know each different property has water wells so there will be water at every duck blind! Give us a call, David -936-827-2413.

Gambling on Sports
Does anybody else enjoy playing a wager in their control on a sports game? Whether it be through an online site or a bookie. I understand it can get out of control and needs to be done in moderation, but it makes it entertaining to me. It's just like alcohol, Vegas, or whatever other vices you may have. Is this just me?

I shot my best buck to date this morning. He's one I've been watching all summer on camera. The biologist and the board members of our lease all had him at 5 1/2 years from all my pics.
Lava Flow ...
... on the big island of Hawaii.
http://ift.tt/1rXXu8R
I've been glancing at the reports from time-to-time and imagining how horrible it must be to realize your town/home is smack dab in the way. Apparently, since it happens ever so often, there's nothing that can be done. But, it seems to this flat land hillbilly that it could be diverted to follow a different path. Although lava is molten rock, heated to thousands of degrees, it flows downhill sorta like water, following the path of least resistance. It would seem that digging trenches or pilling up a bunch of the big concrete freeway dividers in front of the flow would divert it.
Still, if it were that easy, surely they would have already tried it. Maybe they have and found out it didn't work. Maybe there are no options, outside of a real good insurance policy.

Need good poker game for my I-phone
Can someone give me a link to some good poker games for the I-phone. Deer season is here and I need something to do when things are slow.
Texas holdem is good, or any 7 card poker games. Not much on black jack.
Thanks.

Media day at Boyd's One Stop today
People and cameras everywhere. 6 or more newspapers, counted at least 4 TV stations covering the event. The occasion was my signing up for Boyd's winner take all November flounder tournament. With cameras flashing and video rolling they asked me to speak. I signed the entrants form, cleared my throat and said loud and clear.
I am in. If you want to be the best you have got to beat the best!
It got really ugly after that. Two dudes and some fake breasted chick had to be restrained from attacking me. Thank goodness Texas City Dave had security there

Snapper Video
My buddy just got into doing some promo videos for our fishing guide buddies so I thought I'd post one up. Some good snapper and shark footage in there. Shark goes after submerged gopro at one point and gave me a pretty good laugh thinking about his 300 lb butt rocking that boat all over the place!

Fogged/faded headlight?
A mechanic friend just let the cat out of the bag. He was talking with my neighbor that has a early 2000's truck and said that OFF has made him more money than anything else. He said spray a little on the headlight and wipe it off and most of the faded/fogged look will go away. Something about a chemical in OFF that does it (Deep Woods or the Orange original...i doubt the new "dry" sprayed OFF would work).
My neighbor also tried it on his bug shield and both look a lot better. While not brand new, it looks plenty acceptable and whole lot cheaper than spending $150.
Anybody have a truck or car with faded headlights they can take before and after pictures of?

FSU vs Louisville tonight
FSU is a 4 point fav tonight in Louisville. Hoping the Cardinals shock the injuns and the Playoff Committee tonight. Will make for an interesting ranking week if so. Possibly 2, or more, of the top 4 seeds in the air come Tuesday. Go Cardinals! :)

I back up my work so its worry free. Bruce 979-233-2942 Asking $80 nice reel bottom price. Used it yesterday and it cast better than my New Shimano CH150 C14. Curado 200 E7 Drag Question
Just finished reassembling a backup Curado, and the drag doesn't seem to tighten down enough. Fishable, but not right.
I cleaned one drag washer, replaced the other, very careful to put minimal drag grease on them.
The way I see it, the only pressure put on the drag system is via the roller clutch inner tube. The star drag is dogged all of the way down. Spring washers are in correctly.
Am I guessing correctly that adding a washer under the star drag nut or down on top of the roller clutch inner tube should help?
Many thanks....

The elderly's get theior fishing fix
Mr. Bill and Mrs. Romona, have never caught fish this big. Only problem is once they hooked them, they needed help. That's what I do, I make you catch fish and then I will get you to land them.
They told me I took very good care of them.
Their lug of fish weighed 110 lbs.

Hole in My Boat
I realize that whoever has been putting metal stobs in the top of stumps probably meant well at the time, but you are the reason that I have a hole in the bottom of my boat. The top of a metal rod at the level of the lake at this present level is not a good thing. No need to worry about your stupid mistake now for I have removed this one from the lake. I did make it to the ramp and had about 25 gallons of water in the boat but I did get the boat on the trailor ok. For others, I do check that my bilge pump runs regularly by hitting the manual switch, and it was running but not pumping water out . After gettingthe boat home I learned that the discharge hose was plugged from critters or whatever, so from now on I will find a way tosee that it actually pumps water out and not just hear it run. Leasons learned, and I do hope that this little mind jogging note gets you to check your bilge pump thouroughly.
Boat Detailing- Rockport
Does anyone have a recommendation for boat detailing in Rockport. Used to use Tyler Koenig but last time I talked to him he wasn't doing it any more.
I put me in a new trigger
Put in a new Timney trigger in my 700 yesterday. Nice crisp almost 3 pound pull. shot gun today and on purpose fired the first round on target to see where the 1st rouind wouild print with a oiled barrel. It was almost 1 inch high but windage same. Next two shots were almost touching below first shot. I wont clean the barrel now until season is over. Unless it gets wet.
Reminder: Duck Season
Just a reminder to everyone out there, Duck season opens this weekend so be on the lookout running early and watch for lights along the banks.
Don't be surprised if there is someone on a bank in the area you want to fish...kind of a shame but it can make wading tough sometimes. Generally hunters like at least a few hundred yds of space, but a realist knows that's not always possible. JUST BE CURTIOUS OF EVERYONE whether hunting or fishing. No since in ruining a day with a shouting match
Good luck to everyone fishing or hunting

Sight Casting Redfish from the Kayak
A few weekends ago myself and 8 friends made our annual camping trip to the beaches of East Matagorda. We enjoyed cool temperatures, decent wind, great fishing, and even better company during the trip. I tried to keep the GoPro rolling most of my time on the water and ended up with lots of good footage while sight casting reds in about a foot of water. Instead of making a short 3-4 minute video of the highlights with a little background music I decided to try something a little different on this one. It's a whole lot longer (almost 20 minutes) but includes a voice over (in bad quality) explaining the area we fished and how we fished it. No fancy equipment was used to create this video. Just a couple of PVC camera mounts and one GoPro Hero 3 white edition for the footage, the cab of my truck (aka: my recording studio) to record the voice over, and a Macbook Pro with iMovie to piece it all together. If you're looking for something to do during your lunch break today then this will eat up 20 minutes of it.

Kill Switch or Ignition?
Hi 2Coolers
I have a 120 Johnson 87 Model with OMC controls. A little while ago it left me 12miles from home in West Bay, i eventually got a tow back to the boat ramp, was a horrible day ;-(
Anywho, i did some tests an in my infinite wisdom with little technical knowledge i replaced the CDI pack and while i was at it, spark plugs, some were fouled. Started her up and nothing happened, same issue. I then removed the black and yellow kill switch wire going to the CDI, low and behold it started right up. I then extended the wire to my deck with an on/off switch. Its in the off position when i start and drive, when i stop i need to put the button in the off position to kill the engine. Turning the engine key to the off position does nothing, only the on/off switch i installed inline on the kill switch going to the CDI turns the engine off.
This is an interim measure leaving me with no safety for me or the occupants, should i fall off while moving the boat wont stop, so i want to get this fixed. Given the info above, would you say this is a faulty kill switch or does the ignition have something to do with it?
Thanks

What would you do?
I have a small place in the hill country that is mainly a place for us to hunt, but I lease to a man to run his cows on. I do it for the ag exemption. He's supposed to have his cattle off during deer season, but has asked if he can keep them on this year because the place he keeps them during deer season is putting a new fence in. I have 5 feeders, and only 1 is fenced in. I don't want to **** the guy off because I want the ag exemption, but am worried about filling those feeders with cattle out there. Any opinions?
Canseco to give high fours
I'm posting this as rifle season starts soon. Be aware and be careful.
Report: Canseco shoots off finger cleaning gun
In a story first reported by KLAS-TV in Las Vegas with details later provided by TMZ Sports, former baseball player Jose Canseco shot himself in the left hand while cleaning his handgun at home in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
According to TMZ Sports, Canseco blew the middle finger off his hand. Canseco's fiancee told TMZ Sports he was sitting at a table in their home cleaning the gun when it went off, apparently not knowing the gun was loaded.
Canseco was in surgery Tuesday night, with doctors reportedly saying he will never have full use of what is left of his finger again.

I am considering buying a camera for the lease. I AM really not looking for anything to complicated or high end, just want something I can take some good clear shots of with a modest zoom lens.
Do you folks have suggestions of brands and models or have a one they want to part with. I am not looking to drop allot $$ and other the other hand for something modest how much should I expect to spend?

Lake Houston Bass Tournaments
Hi All-
An acquaintance of mine, John Littleton, let me know he'll be putting bass tournaments on Lake Houston for the off season.
John Littleton of the Humble Bass Club is starting a Lake Houston series on November 22, 2014.
As John Littleton states:
"I am wanting to start a tournament trail at Lake Houston during the off months and carry over into the prime time season. I know there are a lot of guys that don't hunt and still go fishing so why not fish for a little money.
I am having a tournament on November 22. It is going to be simple just $100 per team. I will pay back 1 place for every 4 entries. the payout as follows.
With 20 teams fishing.
1 ST place $600
2 ND place $400
3 RD place $300
4 TH place $250
5 TH place $150
1 ST place big fish $125
2 ND place big fish $75
I plan to have a Hourly Big Bass Tournament in December."
Sounds like some good fun for those wanting some tourney action on Houston in the colder months!
You can reach John Littleton at humblebassclub@embarqmail.com
Thanks

anyone else get a Tile?
It started off as a Kickstarter project and I finally got mine this morning. They sent me 4 of them. It's about the size of a half dollar coin and allows you to locate it. Using it for keys comes to mind, so does for a dog tag/finder.

1k yard match at Bayou Rifles
There will be two more 1000 yard matches at Bayou Rifles this year. Next one is Nov 2 at the Juliff Range in Manvel. For FT/R all you need is a 223 or 308 with a bipod and ammo that can stay supersonic at the target. 60 shots prone and all competitors will work pit duty as well. For any bayou members these matches also qualify you to have access to the 600 - 1000 yard range once the match director signs you off. You dont have to be a member to come out and shoot. $20 for non-members and $15 for BR members.
I shot this match last month with a borrowed rifle and ammo and did fine. Just run your ballistics on a calculator and check your dope at 200 and 600 and dial the rest in for 1000. That should get you on paper easily. Lets see those 1/2 moa all day rifles come one out and shoot.

Website designer/Google ranking tips
I am rebuiding my website through godaddy.
My company is #1 on google and bing on most search terms. I'd like to increase that presence to be #1, and #2 or 3 on all search terms.
(Yelp, maps, etc. Currently my website's page 6 also tops google)
What I've done has taken little effort on my end so I would like to pay someone who could tweak my site and search terms in order to make improvements that I can not.
Not interested in the $1100 per year that godaddy has offered for their pro services. I'm almost happy with what I have and may be able to complete my goal by myself.
However, if there is someone that I could pay a few hundred for some real results, I'd do it.
Anyone experienced something similar or have any recommendations?

Tension Rod?
I just bought a CRB hand wrapper. While making my first practice wrap the tension rod splintered. Any suggestions on an alternate material for a tension rod? I called Mudhole and they are sending me a replacement, but they don't have an upgrade to the original and I don't trust the replacement to last.
I bought a $9 cane pole at Walmart and cut off the tip. It is working ok, but it is really too stiff. I talked to Lance at Swampland to see if he had a replacement alternative. He said that he doesn't use a tension rod. I will probably end up going that route, but while I'm learning it is nice if I need to undo a wrap or two to be able to still have tension on the line.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Feel guilly going alone
When no one else in my family ** because they are busy** can go fishing in our boat ** small 17' skiff** should I fell guilty at almost 70 years old?
This is the time of year and the right weather and they say " Well can you wait til it is convenient for so and so and we can all go together."
My first thought is " no" because it is already Oct. 27 and we waited all summer for this."
Feel like a smuck for going alone but I am on borrowed time {regarding skin cancer and heart surgery, never mind the hip replacement.** and they don't seem to get it.
That sounds like a good name for a boat.
" On borrowed time"
Has any one else dealt with this issue?
Appreciate your in put.
After re reading this it sounds like a letter for Dear Abby

Grounding question
My boat has four batteries. Two are in the back hatch by the motor. These are the original two batteries that power everything on the boat.
I recently put two in the center console, using the wiring supplied from the factory. This wiring just had the battery wires that go from the batteries through the hull to the front of the boat where the trolling motor plugs in, nothing else.
Should the two batteries in the center console be connected to the two batteries in the back with a common ground ?

Oak Tree question
I have these fuzzy pale yellow things on my oak trees. Kind looks like an asp but its not, some kind of fungus maybe.
Project Boat, trailer, 2 motors
16' semi v aluminum boat 60" beam, side console, livewells (boat needs work), galvanized trailer with one new tire wheel, one good tire and wheel (road worthy trailer overall. I pulled it 30 minutes to my house with no problems) springs fairly new, needs new lights. 1987 johnson 40 HP complete from top to bottom. Lower unit sounds bad. 1988 Johnson 50 HP complete less carbs, lower unit good. The 40 has good compression 150 + PSI on the both cylinders, the 50 150+ on top 100+ on bottom. OMC remote controls included for just one (no helm). The 50 has been torn down but the 40 is intact and is the best of the two to get going. Good project for someone with the time and little money. $900 for all OBO. Titles for boat and trailer but not motors. Located in Corpus Christi. Will not split.

Gulf Council Sells Out On Snapper
Council decision relegates recreational anglers to bystanders in snapper fishery
POSTED ON OCTOBER 24, 2014
MOBILE, ALABAMA (10-24-14) – The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council approved a highly controversial management plan for red snapper this week that will take a significant percentage of the recreational quota and reserve it solely for use by the charter/for-hire industry. The Council approved Amendment 40, known as sector separation, by a 10-7 vote over opposition from several GULF STATES, CONGRESS, the vast majority of recreational anglers and even from within the charter/for-hire industry itself. The amendment will now be sent to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce for final approval.
“It is extremely disappointing that such a flawed management proposal was approved in the face of so much opposition,” said Bill Bird, chairman of Coastal Conservation Association’s National Government Relations Committee. “Significant questions over key components of Amendment 40 were never adequately addressed. This amendment will create such striking inequities for private recreational anglers that it is difficult to understand how this amendment will be sustainable. It is infuriating that the Gulf Council continues its give away of a public resource when the public has neither a reasonable season nor reasonable size and bag limits for that same resource.”
Amendment 40 is widely regarded as the first step to a catch share program for a privileged few in the charter/for-hire industry, similar to the one in place for the commercial red snapper industry. With passage of this amendment, the way is cleared for up to 70 percent of the entire Gulf red snapper fishery to be privately held, while recreational anglers who fish on their own boats will find their access to federal waters severely limited.
“This decision reflects a disturbing trend in federal fisheries management where a coalition of environmental groups, industrial harvesters and some charter/for-hire businesses are lobbying to reduce angler access to public marine resources,” said Bird. “It is clear by the level of opposition to Amendment 40 that we are not alone in our conviction that it should not be allowed to stand.”

Voltage regulator issue?
I'm pretty sure I'm just going to buy a replacement voltage regulator and be done with it, but i thought i'd throw an issue up here for you folks to comment on anyhow.
I fished all day Saturday with my Dad, and things went great. Caught fish, boat ran fine, etc. On the return trip in, I noticed my VHF radio flashing a "HI BATTERY" alarm. I looked at my console gages, and the volt meter was pegged at 16V. I don't know how high the voltage actually went, but the volt meter only reads to 16V. I brought the boat down to idle, and the voltage dropped to around 14V. I would take off, and everything was rosy for about 3 or 4 miles, and the voltage would spike up again. Slow down, let the voltage drop, take off and run 3 or 4 miles, and repeat. This is on a 120HP Force outboard. A new voltage regulator is about $130. Not too bad, i suppose.
I guess I always assumed the voltage regular would go the other way and start dropping voltage. Any of you guys have this sort of trouble before?

Daddy needs prayer
Daddy has been through one health bout after another and three surgeries this year. It has hit him hard and really weakened him. The surgeries on the first leg went well and he recuperated well. However, this last surgery, removal of his other big toe, isn't healing properly and has become infected over the weekend. I've never seen Daddy look so weak and dejected as he did today. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thinking about a new truck...
I am tossing around the idea of a new f150. I have never bought a new vehicle before but the heavy discounts on the 2014 and 0 percent interest on them is very tempting. I know the interest is just a game moving numbers around but is there a catch? Anybody ever done it before with Ford? I commute from south Texas to Louisiana and it sure would be nice to be in something new.

Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report and Baja Fishing
Jc Sportfishing Weekly Fish Report.
As the Admiral Seas It
Fishing Report: 10/20/14 to 10/27/14
Stop by Our Office for up to Date Fishing Report.
WEATHER: The weather is really great as we are starting to feel October temperatures upon us and that is good news. The weather is still pretty warm but there is a definite change in the air with night time dipping down to ladder 60,s to low 70,s. Day time temps are pretty much still up there with ladder 80,s real common but some days a little warmer. We are starting to get the wind from the north and that is bringing in some cooler weather compared to what we have been through this whole summer and then to top it off we had the hurricane. So all in all is has been a hot hot summer and were glad its winding down.
WATER: Temperatures are still warm in most of the Los Cabos area and this had made for some good fishing with some big Blue Marlin being landed. For sure they are following the warm water and so are the Dorado. Please check out the link I have left here to see the whole Baja California Sur area.Go to this link which will show you water temperatures for the southern half of Baja. http://ift.tt/1yf3HC5
BILLFISH: Well it has been a very busy week and really productive week as far as the Marlin fishing is concerned. Lots of Blues and Stripped Marlin being landed during the fishing tournaments and on our fishing charters also. Wow!! For the week, the 912 anglers from multiple countries caught 60 blue and six black marlin. That’s a lot of fish caught over the last week or so. Our own Bob Marlin had a shot in the tournament as the Fat Farmer team had the big one on and ended up losing it and I suppose there is always next year. If you want to fish for Marlin get down here now as it has been hot for Billfish and I cant see it going anywhere to soon.
SAILFISH: Lots of Sailfish still around also with this warm water sitting here. The water is still in the low 80,s. The Sails are being landed on lures and Caballitos
DORADO: The Dorado fishing has been really good lately with some nice fish being landed from Grey Rock to Ranch Migrino on live bait and lures real close to the beach. Most have been from 15lbs to 30lbs. Really this area I mentioned has been a hot area for Dorado but all areas have been good due to the warm water in place through out our fishing grounds. The Dorado love that warm water and they feel right at home!!!
TUNA: We are gearing up for the Western Outdoors New Tuna Tournament coming up soon. The Tuna Jackpot Tournament will be going on through the 5th to the 8th of November and we are expecting a big Tuna to win it. There has been lots of Tuna caught lately but most are smaller ones closer to shore but there has been some big ones caught through the tournaments that were tipping the scales at 65lbs to 85lbs. WAHOO: A few Wahoo being landed this week with a couple in the 45lbs to 55lbs range. A good score!!!
INSHORE: Panga fishing has been good inshore for Dorado and small Tuna from Grey Rock to around the Solmar area and were caught using Sardines close to shore. The calm seas have really helped the inshore fishing as it makes fro a smooth ride and now worry about any rogue waves sneaking up behind you if you are in a Panga.
Western Outdoors News Tuna Jackpot Tournament
The countdown begins. As of Oct. 17 we had 80 teams signed up more are coming in for the 16th Annual Western Outdoor News/Yamaha Los Cabos Tuna Jackpot Tournament. Last year we hosted 136 teams and the last four years the tourney has grown in size. Where will end up is hard to guess, but it will be well over 100 teams.
There is plenty of time to sign up and either bring your boat or charter one.Bottom line, we never thought of postponing the tournament or canceling it after the Hurricane, and it was a good thing because the government, not wanting to lose an entire tourist season at its No. 1 destination (behind Cancun) and swarmed the devastated area to bring back basic service fuel power, food and security, as well clean up and rebuild. It has been an incredible thing to see. Mexico took care of its people. They are to be commended at all levels.
Gary Graham is down in Cabo now to cover the marlin events and send back photos of the region, particularly the marina. The place looks rebuilt, and while it has a ways to go, it is ready for tournament and cruise ship season. We were worried about the effect on the earlier tournaments. The first one, by Marlin Magazine in mid-month, was way down, to 12 boats. But the Bisbee's Offshore event, the "Baby Bisbee's" as its called, drew 81 teams, about the same as last year, a great sign. People want to come and support the area and, of course, have some fun and maybe win some big money.
Here's some aspects of the tournament to remind you about:
CHARITY CHARTER: There is the third annual Costa Charity Charter on Friday morning for non-entrants on the beautiful partyboat the Cabo Escape that is the official start boat both days. All proceeds from the $20 Costa sponsored charter go to Baja children's charities. It's a blast! It's beautifully catered by Pisces and Tony's with breakfast food and drink (mimosas too!), and the $20 we charge is way too inexpensive, so if you want to donate more, great. There's a lot of charity efforts going on. We will be out to break the $20,000 mark.
This tourney website at http://ift.tt/1yDZVCa is chock full of links to sponsors, information on the tourney, features, links to the official tourney(can be seen on a PC only, sorry) and its Facebook page.
The strength of a tournament is not how many teams it hosts. It doesn't hurt, but the true indicator is the sponsorships and I am not kidding, but we have everyone back, more coming down to party with us, and there's some new companies, too. We're very excited that his year we have Reactor watches, Simrad electronics and Mudhole rod components are joining the fold of sponsors.
TV SHOW! Reactor and it's beautiful watches stepped away last year but they are stronger than ever and fired up to come down and be a participating and attending sponsor. Reactor sponsors the Bill Boyce's Baja fishing show (http://ift.tt/1tXGcPs ) on the World Fishing Network (WFN) and the filming this year on Boyce's team will be on the show.
SIMRAD RADIO CONTROL: There's so much to get excited about this year. Simrad is coming down for the first time, and their marine electronics lineup is cutting edge. They are providing a GPS/Fishinder unit, two mounted marine radios and providing two high-end hand-held radios as the official Simrad Radio Control. This year we plan to work with teams far more during the fishing days, with Mike Packard answering questions about rules and schedule. New this year is that we are requiring any significant hookups to be radioed between 3 and 4 p.m. before lines out (4 p.m.).
WELCOME BAGS: Okay, the bags we gave out last year were BIG. This year at the welcome party, as the music plays by Tres Huevos on the stage, you'll be walking through the check-in line and getting so many free items it may take a while. An event hat (choice of pink, rust and plaid), an official cooler tote bag, Mustad hook packs, Simrad face buffs/sun protectors, beer coolies by Mudhole and also Deep Blue Marine/Simrad, Toggs cooler wraps, Eat Me Lure official boat flags (1 per team), Costa event long-sleeve t-shirts, American Fishing Wire/HiSeas wire packs, Seaguar fluoro coils for each team, free Terrafin maps of Cabo, and much more.
At all events, every day, Cabo Cigar Company will be wrapping custom cigars, and will have plenty of read-to go, freshly wrapped cigars with the Cabo logo. Minerva's will again be offering a new short-sleeve t-shirt with custom artwork, and these shirts at the check-in are the only shirts for sale for the event, and every dollar goes to the kids charity fund.
DRAWINGS: We can't list all the stuff for drawings, but the Grand Raffle will have four of every item we have for the drawings. That means four of the dozen Avet reels, four of the 22 big game Cousins rods (They are beefy, super high quality, and are made for BIG tuna) , four Reactor watches, Four hotel stays at the Wyndham, Seaguar fluoro packs, Mustad hooks, Plano tackle boxes. It's $10,000 worth of stuff. Oh yes, one of the Simrad marine mounted VHF radios is in the mix. All the tickets to the drawings over four days areas usual, at $5 each or five for $20, go to the charity fund. This is your way to contribute to local families.
EVENTS: Speaking of events, the site areas for the tourney will remain the same, thanks to the Cabo San Lucas officials, many of whom will be on the Costa-sponsored start boat Cabo Escape the first day. The mayor of Cabo has the most fun of anyone as she signals the official start of fishing and teams go roaring off into the distance. If you have not experienced something like the Cabo start, it is worth coming to tourney as an entrant. Hang on, it's a wild ride. And of course, the Show Us Your Costas Contest will be back by popular demand as will be the Yamaha Guess The Biggest Fish's Weight Contest.
FRIENDS/FAMILY: Many people ask about bringing family or wives, or friends. The Tuna Tourney is a great event to frame a vacation around. There are two sit-down dinners, three parties with drawings and video shows, friends and guests are welcome on each boat (2 allowed if room), the Friday Cabo Escape Charter from 6 to 8 a.m., and the exciting four-day event culminates after four days with a gala sitdown dinner for 650 people catered by Ruth's Cris at the beautiful Puerto Paraiso Mall next to the marina as the sun sets. It is Cabo at its most relaxing and elegant as the town celebrates it's sportfishing legacy.
So, you have a team, and how do you enter?
You can pay the team entry online by credit card at www.wonews.com (go to WON events on the home page and scroll down to the Cabo logo). You can sign up by credit card as a team, but not for any of the six tuna optionals or the wahoo/dorado optional. You must mail in optional entry money by personal or bank check with an entry form, or add those jackpots by wire transfer, with an entry form e-mailed or faxed or mailed.
For any information regarding your method of payment, wiring instructions, contact Denise at denisec@wonews.com . Don't worry, she'll walk you through the easy process and provide wiring instructions. We do not publish those instructions so call Denise. For details on the tourney, call (949) 366-0030, ext 25 for Pat McDonell, director of the event. This website will provide a lot of answers about the tourney with a great video, features, sponsors links, the link to the Facebook page if you are looking for a team, plus a gallery of photos and more.
As befitting the World’s Richest Fishing Tournament, the Bisbee’s Black & Blue, presented by IGY Marinas, did hand out a whopping $2 million dollars in cash prizes at the awards celebration Saturday night. But the real winners are a local orphanage for boys, as well as the citizens of Los Cabos. After Hurricane Odile slammed ashore last month and caused widespread damage, 125 teams heeded the call to fish anyway and came to town to help jump-start the vital economic recovery.
“In all honesty, up until a couple weeks ago I thought we were going to rally whoever was here at the Baja Cantina, throw some money in a hat and just go fishing to keep the tournament streak going,” said Tournament Director Wayne Bisbee. “But thanks to all our fantastic anglers and sponsors, somehow we pulled it off and the results are just insane. We helped put a lot of people back to work, caught some good fish and we’re definitely leaving Cabo in better shape than we found it.”
Team Casa Hogar was the top winner this year. The 10 anglers and crew were fishing on behalf of the local non-profit organization that provides food, shelter and education to under-privileged Los Cabos boys. Angler Omar Castaneda scored the win after landing the biggest qualifying fish of the tournament, a 385-pound blue marlin. That fish took the overall team prize, tournament jackpot, top captain award (Capt. Ernie Cossio) and the Day Two $500 Daily Jackpot. The team is donating the $258,325 winnings to Casa Hogar.
In typical Black & Blue fashion, Sporty Game, entered across the board in all daily jackpot categories, waited until the final day to bring in the million-dollar fish. Carlos Cervontes whipped the 337-pound blue marlin in 18 minutes. That catch earned owner/captain Dan Lewis and the team a whooping payout of $1.682 million for second place in all team awards and the dailies. Lewis has been fishing the B&B since 2000. Sporty Game’s catch this year represents the 12th time a team has earned more than one million dollars in the tournament’s 34-year history.
Angler Dennis Bartos and Team Survivor are not going home empty-handed. Their blue marlin, tipping the scales at 328 pounds, earned a check for $42,187 for third place. Rounding out the top five, Baja Banditos pocketed $11,250 for a 320-pound blue, while Tepeyacos took fifth with a 304-pounder, good for $7,500.
In the tightly-contested Release Division, Mobius took top honors and the most money—$49,725—by releasing the first marlin based on time. Suzuka A, one of several teams from Japan, was second ($17,212) and Los Tapatios took third place and a check for $9,562. For the week, the 912 anglers from multiple countries caught 60 blue and six black marlin.
The Black & Blue slogan is “Come for fun, leave a millionaire.” After the 2014 event, however, adding: “And Make a Difference” is certainly an appropriate exclamation point.
From The Admirals Kitchen is Open Again!!
We do not recommend killing a Sailfish but if you hook one and the fish for some reason cannot be released here is a recipe for that occasion.
1 lb sailfish steak (no skin)
2 green bell peppers 1 small onion
2 green onions
2 cloves of garlic
1 tomato
olive oil
sea salt and pepper
lime
First I lined a baking dish with aluminum foil (for easy clean-up) and sprayed lightly with cooking spray. I found a baking dish for only 20EC at the store so if you are like me and didn’t have one, it isn’t that expensive to buy and so handy. Then I sliced up the bell peppers and the onion. I laid these in the baking dish, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled on some sea salt and black pepper. Then I nestled in the fish which I pat dry and covered well with pepper and squeezed a few lime wedges over.
I sliced up some green onions reserving the top part as a garnish for after and sauteed the bottoms with some minced garlic. I toped the fish with the garlic-onion mixture. I sliced the tomato into thick slices and then laid them on top of the fish.
I covered the whole dish with some alumminum foil and placed it into my oven. The oven doesn’t really have a temperature setting but instead a flame level so I choose a medium-high setting and cooked the dish about 30-35 minutes. The goal was to get the fish to flake off easily. I cannot say exactly my time and temperature combo, but I was aiming to allow it to bake in a 400 degree oven for about 40 minutes.
While it baked I made some simple white rice and cooked some fresh green beans to balance out our meal and presto – delicious fish dinner for two. I sprinkled the remaining green onions on top of the fish before serving and had some extra lime wedges for a little extra citrus punch. The lime helped to add some flavor to the rice as well.
I was actually surprised at how easy it was to make and it tasted so good. It was delicious and fresh. We didn’t know what to expect, but sailfish might just make it into our more regular diet. I had actually frozen this piece from a few weeks ago and it still tasted great so I have no problem buying a little extra just to have stuff on hand.
BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You dont want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of fishing license.

I am looking for a 12 gauge Benelli Super Vinci in Max 5 camo. I will accept cash offers but would ask close to MSRP because of the extras. Please email me at Gossett_Bobby@Yahoo.com for pictures and more details. Thanks!

flounder run
The wife and I went out Saturday no luck. We tried gulps and several other plastics plus mullet. Out and in spot before sun up. Out going tide all morning. Seen plenty of people moving and trying other areas with no luck. Nice day on the water, but still seems a little early for the run. We did stop early went out to the jetties almost went offshore but called it a day instead. Water was nice and green still a little warm. Think I will wait for another front before going again.
Free
I have a bunch of bamboo I just cut down if anyone wants it. 8' to 14' pieces, perfect for brushing up the duck blinds. I am setting it out on the street and big trash day is in Wednesday. If you come today I will help you load it. I live in richwood and it is easier to call me to get the address.

Man Ejected From Truck
http://ift.tt/1rDUGO6
ABC 13 reported a story of a man being ejected from a truck during a roll over incident early yesterday morning. Alcohol was believed to be involved.
The Facts
This man is my cousin that I grew up with.
He saved his money to put a down payment on that now totaled truck less than a year ago.
He was ejected from his vehicle because he did not have his seat belt on and is covered in road rash.
He hit a concrete wall and flipped his new truck because his blood alcohol concentration was over 3 times the legal limit.
He is stable and finally awake but will be sore in the morning.
I love my cousin, but I hope he has his day in court. I hope he is found guilty of driving under the influence. I hope his license is taken away. I hope his insurance has a DUI clause and that they don't cover his truck. I hope this teaches him a lesson so that he doesn't kill himself or someone else because honestly I don't think the wreck alone is enough. Again, I love him and pray that he completely recover, but he is still responsible for his own actions.
