Safe way to get paid when selling used boat?

What is considered the safest way to ensure you get paid when you sell your used boat to an individual like many do here on the 2cool classifieds?



I would not take a personal check, and I am told cashiers checks can be just as fake, so what to you do?



I have thought of meeting the buyer at my bank with his cashiers check and my boat and title in hand and ask the bank to make sure the check is good. Is there any better suggestions?
