Figure there are a few health insurance guys around that may be able to answer this. I recently lost my company health insurance from a former job. I found new employment but health insurance benefits will not be available until the 67th day from when I lost my former. I understand I have the option to pay for COBRA but at the cost I'm not sure that will be my best option. If I do nothing, roll the dice, and wait the 67 days for my new company insurance will I be penalized for not having continual coverage or will their be consequences for previous medical conditions that were attended to under my previous insurance?
