whole house water filtration systems

My wife and I recently bought a new to us home in the country with well water and its starting to stink. I know about the sulfur and bacteria and shocking the well but was wondering if these whole house filtration systems would be a good fix to the problem. Both hot and cold water is stinking and we have a small filter system under the kitchen sink for drinking water and it doesn't stink and tastes good.

Any first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for a more permanent fix.
