Should I add a fuel water separator to my 25 hp pontoon boat?

The one thing my new to me Sweetwater Pontoon Boat does not have is an external fuel water separator. I was wondering if a 25 hp Tohatsu needed one? I added it with my larger motors. But I am not sure about the 25hp.
