good spotlights?

i went wade fishing for specs with a friend and got hit by a sting ray. lets just say their venom isn't a joke. im all better now, but i think im gonna stay on the ground. how many volts should my spotlight have for swp fishing next to the parking lot? and if you want to know how the venom felt, my limb felt tingly. like as if i fell asleep on it.
