I'm a brand new member to the site and just recently (in the past couple days) have been encountering a big problem while wade fishing in the surf. I have been using a regular soft plastic setup with a quarter ounce jig head and my 12 lb. mono tied directly to it. The Spanish mackerel are absolutely killing me. I had to quit fishing two mornings ago because I lost all of my jigs. I have been getting snapped off time after time. I need some experienced surf or soft plastic guys to help me out, maybe post a couple pictures of some leaders you guys use with soft plastics. I know you all know the feeling, losing fish! It sucks! I wanna go out in the morning with a solution to the problem! Thanks ahead and looking forward to hearing from you.
