Weather was gorgeous, but the fishing was mighty slow today. I saw a handful of folks catching fish, but overall, not much. I never caught anything worth having. A handful of baitfish was it. The highlight of the day (and my main reason for going today) was getting to see my friend, who is really not a fisherman, get hooked up with a behemoth stingray. That ray was ripping drag on my battle 8000, and we had to chase it to keep from getting spooled. Finally got the ray boatside, and he was somewhere between 5 and 6 feet across, wingtip to wingtip. Biggest one i've seen in person. Nice day on the water, even without much fish action.
