150 Vmax remote oil issue??

I have a yamaha V150TLRY (2000 model carbed Yamaha 150 Vmax) that does not pump oil. I was running last weekend and the alarm went off. I still had oil in my remote tank but the reservoir on the motor was low. I tried filling it with the manual switch on the motor but it would not fill. I manually filled the reservoir on the motor and made it back to the ramp. I bought the new pump and filter and it is still not pumping. I can here it coming on when I press the manual switch on the motor but I am not getting oil in the reservoir. Looking for ideas on what to check next. Could there be an obstruction in the line between the (2) tanks? I can see what looks like 2 couplings in the hose unless there are other smaller inline filters in the hose.
