One of my dear friends on 2Cool has a wife that gets a phrase almost right but not quite! Some of them will give you a belly laugh that wont quit.
In her defense, English was not her first language. Here are some examples and I added a few others that I have heard. Her name will not be posted to protect the guilty.
Frozen bite = Freezer burn
This of course is when your meat has been in the freezer too long or not stored properly.
Grand baby piano = Baby Grand Piano
The concert style piano that is quite large (unlike a grand baby who is very small in the beginning)
Heat flash = Hot flash
A common post-menopausal condition that afflicts many woman.
Let's hear some "You almost had it" phrases. Post 'em up!
