AR Scope mount ?

A question for the collective wisdom of 2Cool, I have a scope with a 40mm objective lens and I want to mount it on a flat top AR. What class of rings do I need - short, medium, or tall so that the front of the scope will clear the rail. The AR has the top rail on the receiver continue down the float tube at the same height as the receiver.
