Suzuki IAC valve?

Last trip on the way in the check engine light gave a 3-1 code. After some research I have determined its the IAC valve. The engine will stall not everytime but occasionally when coming out of gear back into idle. The local suzuki guys want over $500 to take care of it. So I've been doing some reading and it seems like its not a difficult job it either clean or replace the vavle. I need to take care of some other things with the engines and am wondering if this is something I can add to the punch list. Just curious if anyone has done this by themselves before, and if so any advice on how to go about it.
