Well, I left Houston today to get settled at home and ready for day 1 (Monday) with the rehab physical therapist. I was released from the hospital on Friday but sstayed in town just in case. So far, I think i am doing fairly well. I have been doing the PT they had me do at the hospital and am at about 70% flex. I need the help of a walker just to steady myself getting up out of a chair and to help walking. I am putting full weight vertically but am weak with horizontal movement. That will come soon. The knee i had put in (Vangard XP) does not require the ACL to be removed like all others on the market. This in my opinion makes my joint much more stable and will help to speed the recovery time. I am on 1400mg of Norco over 24 hours for the pain which is a good thing because i am gaining more feeling all the time. We will see how day one in PT goes tomorrow. Has it been worth it so far? Yes! Doc said the Ostioaurthrides damage in my joint was really bad.
