Prop selection on a scooter

I'm a ways from it, but I'm just trying to do a little research on prop selection. I'm rebuilding a 13' Dargel Skooter. I'm keeping it as light as possible. I estimate it to be around 1500 lbs. at most with persons and gear. I have a 40 HP mariner magnum going on it. RPM range is 5000-5500 max. Gear ratio is 2:1. The current aluminum prop is all chewed up but was a 15p13dia. It was originally mounted on an aluminum 14' semi-v hull. I don't know the performance #'s with that set up. I'd like to run 40 at least with the prop I go with. Any ideas on pitch and diameter needed for that goal? It has a 13 tooth spline. I prefer a 4 blade as I've never run a 3 blade before, so I don't know if I'd even feel a difference?
