Sabine Lake Regulations

I am 66, so I do not need or have a LA license. If I launch in LA and have LA limit, will I be in violation of the law if I cross into or fish in Texas waters? What if I get checked in LA waters, and have LA limit, with a TX address, even if I launched in LA? The only documentation I have is my TX License.
