Righty-Lefty mystery

Why is it, that with a spinning reel you reel with your left (if you’re right handed), but with a bait cast you reel with your right?? I’m right handed and I reel with my left with both reels, using my right arm to fight the beast. It ****** me off when I walk into a sporting store, and all they have is righties to look at :mad:. Even the store clerk at my local Academy says that it’s backwards, and doesn’t understand it either.



I know I’m not the only one that finds this strange. Both of the guys that I fish with agree with me….. who else?
