Summer Redfish

My first day of summer vacation. There will be a lot of fishing between now and Aug. 4th when I go back to school. Got to the ramp and launched by 6:00. Made my way to a drain and fished it a while waiting on a buddy to show. As soon as he got there I caught the first fish of the day. A nice 24" inch red. We fished that area a little while longer with no luck so decided to head towards the lake. I said to him, "I was here last week and the lake was only 1 1/2 ft deep throughout and it's a lot lower today. We may bust but lets go see if we can sight cast a few and sneak up on some crawlers." As soon as we got to the lake I noticed a nice fish in about 4 inches of water. I pointed him out to my buddy and the fish must have heard me also. HUGE blowout. Spent the next 3 hours poling through some skinny water looking for fish (I forgot my glasses). Came across and got shots at about 10 fish. Set the hook six times and caught 4 nice fish. Dad wanted to have blackened redfish for the 4th and now that will be possible. At the end of the video you can clearly see that the fish ran into my yak and about dumped me!!
