Basin fishing.... going.... going

The powers that be have stopped the upper Dallas area lake draw down. The Rosser gauge is beginning to drop over 1500 cfs a day.
TRA has cut back to 8000 cfs and will continue to drop gates as the river falls.
Normally a 6000 cfs slug at Rosser would take seven days to reach Riverside but since the river has about 6000 cfs from Dallas to LL it might take longer.
Unless it rains heavily in the upper river watershed it appears that the flow at LLD will be dropping to the dreaded 1000 cfs one gate condition within a week are ten days..
There should be a large Labor Day crowd at the cable with not nearly enough water.
It has been a blessing that there has been such a strong flow for so long. The water now flowing through the LLD is from rain that fell in Dallas over SIXTY DAYS AGO!
But without some serious rain it appears that the basin fishing is going to be gone in another ten days.
