Somerville 8/9

Saturday I had Jeff, grand son Damion, and his friend Trevin out for a morning on Lake Somerville. The boys had fun trying to catch more fish than Grand dad. At one point they got a double. Damion thought it was great when he asked the guide which rod he would use. I picked out a rod, so Damion too that rod and caught the next three fish, LOL.

Damion also saw a dead floating fish. I told him it was a hybrid, so he started casting at it trying to catch it. It drifted by the boat and had gone about 25 feet past the boat when he actually hooked up with it, it was 21.5" long. I told him hooking that fish with a cork and #6 treble hook was a pretty good accomplishment.

They ended the morning with 38 cats for the cleaning table. All fish caught 4-6 ' water, under corks, using CJ's Crawdad punch bait.
