Scott's Ridge Caney Creek

Anyone know the aprox distance to the creek channel from the bulkhead at Scott's Ridge? I've been fishing there for years and never really knew if I was reaching the channel or over casting with my surf/catfish rods. I'm thinking the channel is just south of the no wake bouys. Thanks for any info
