Question for the car stereo experts here........

I am in the process of restoring a 1997 Ford Econoline Conversion Van (Anaheim Package). When I bought it the old sound system was so old and used up I couldn't even understand what was being said on AM talk radio. My lovely wife and daughters bought me some high end 6 x 9 speakers and a modern head unit with all the bells and whistles a 2015 model would have nowadays. I'm trying to get the speakers installed but need to find 4 speaker spacers / adapters / standoffs. Would prefer not to do the internet thing on this even though the prices on Amazon do look pretty attractive. I called "Car Toys" this morning and their prices for the same adapters were higher than a giraffes arse! :( Is there a place I can purchase them near the Clear Lake area or should I try to build my own? The interior of the van is decked out in leather and some very nice looking wood already and I would really like to have a clean installation that won't take away from the look Anaheim already started in there. Any and all ideas, tips, suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Tight lines, Guy
