Some of you may have seen my post this afternoon asking for help when some family contacted me stranded in Clear Lake with a cabin cruiser that decided to quit. I was up in Spring and jumped in the truck but with daylight fading and a handful of youngsters on the boat, I knew I didn't have a lot of time before the seriousness increased exponentially (along with the bill). No sooner did I post that message on 2cool that my phone started buzzing with 2coolers offering to lend a hand. I'm going to throw the spotlight on Michael Riley, 2cooler "Riley and son" for pretty much calling and saying he was on the way. He had the boat in the water when I got to the ramp with supplies, and off we went. We got the kids back to land and got the broken boat back to the marina with the last bit of light fading. A huge thank you to Michael and his son Reed, he's a class act and he's raising a nice young man as well. If y'all see him on the water in his very nice red/white NauticStar, point him toward the fish, they deserve it!
Thanks to all that offered to lend a hand - there are some good folks 2cooling around here!
