Job Description
Freeport Marina located in Freeport, Texas is seeking a part-time dockhand. Marina dockhands perform a multitude of various tasks at the marina. Hours are varied depending on the seasonal needs of the marina. Normally works weekends and holidays; on call for emergencies and storms.
Duties include: maintaining marina docks and grounds, housekeeping, fueling boats, operating pump-out station, assistance in marina maintenance and repairs, knowledge of marina regulations and policies, use of VHF radio, operation of marine forklift, grounds maintenance, other duties as assigned by marina management.
Requirements
Ability to swim; know man overboard procedures; CPR and First Aid training preferred.
Pleasant personality and ability to get along with customers, co-workers and tenants.
Experience handling boats, some marina dock experience preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age for forklift operations.
