Weird airplane...

I was driving home from work yesterday and I got over here near the Air Force base around 4:10pm on the beltway right by nasa. There was a weird plane landing, it had why looked like a flat front from a side view and had the shape like a sperm whale. It was huge, silver on top with a blue stripe on the bottom. I looked for the cockpit but couldn't see it. It literally looked like something out of a cartoon. I tried to get a picture but I was stuck in awe as it went over the ridge and disappeared to land. Did anybody else see it?
