Trim down foam grips

I have a couple surf rods that I acquired and wanna shave down the grips so it feels more comfortable in my hands... How do yall do it? I am very, very, very new to customizing/building so sorry for the dumb question.



Wanna try to customize my current rods before taking on a full custom build.
