Well I took the new to me boat out for the first time (I did test run it before I bought it and it was ok). It's a 2005 21 ft explorer with a 140 Suzuki. I took it to the lake and ran it about 4 times across the lake (about 20 min). Later I started it up again and started to take off and at 3000 rpms it would suddenly drop to 2000 rpms. It did this constantly until I dropped it back to a slow putt. We had the boat checked out by Schmidt Boat Repair
In brenham before we bought it and all he did was replace the water pump. Also it takes about 30-45 seconds before it will start peeing and when it does start it's really hot until the motor runs a couple minutes. Sorry this is a long thread but it's just very aggravating that this happens on the first time I take it out. Does anybody have any ideas as to what may be the issue?
