Been a while since I've posted on the 2 Cool, but I need some help. I'll be heading down to my home town of Port Arthur to do some fishing on Sabine at the end of June. I currently live in DFW area & part time guide for crappie, Hybrids & Stripers on Lake Tawakoni. I fished Sabine last year about the same time & did just ok. After a morning bite & bird activity was done I was wish fishing. Just need some advice on where to look & depth. Want to target Specks & Reds mainly, but wouldn't turn sown some good ol flounder action.
1. Don't the birds usually work bait mid lake to causeway bridge in June/July?
2. Will fishing an hour before tide change increase my changes when fishing the marsh areas on Louisiana shoreline?
3. Can you still be fish up drifting the causeway reefs in June/July?
4. Live bait vs artificial?
Thanks in advance.
