I have a question for the more experienced boaters on East Matagorda Bay regarding fishing/boating conditions based on various wind speeds.
I was out a few weeks ago where the winds were about 12 mph and the bay was slightly choppy and the wave movement allowed for comfortable fishing conditions. A week later I was out and the winds were 20+NE and it was way too rough for boating and fishing.
Since I am new at this Bay system, I would like to know the wind speed/direction that allows for tolerable boating and fishing.
This weekend the forecast is for 10-15 SE winds. Is that too high for this body of water?
