Sticker ?

Finished all the thread work I am going to do on my first rod. I am going to have a sticker made with the specs of the rod and her name. It is a split grip rod with a little thread in that area. The stickers are going inbetween the wraps in the split grip area.



Should I apply a coat of finish and then apply the stickers on top of that and another coat of finish. Or should I just put the stickers on the blank and then apply the finish. The sticker is going over the blank not over any thread.
