Need engine choice help.

So, I am looking to purchase a big bay/offshore boat. several of the the styles have Mercury Salt Water, Mercury EFI, Mercury Optimax and a couple have Honda 4 Strokes.



I have experience and faith in Yamaha and Suzuki products, but a lot of the boats I am looking at do not have these motors.



Please comment with some reel time experience with Mercury and/ or Honda Outboards.
