On Friday I had Floyd, wife Carolyn, and grand daughter Rendy, from Columbus, our for a morning of fishing. Rendy is going to be an eighth grader this year. She was a great deck hand, lifting and tossing my front anchor for me. She even let Grand Pa pot lick when she started catching fish, LOL. A 5' 10" eighth grade with her agility, she is going to be a great athlete for the Columbus ISD. I hate that my picture at the marina came out blurry.
Fishing was tough, with little to no wind at times. We fished north and south side of lake and from dam to Nails creek, looking for fish that were hungry enough to take the cork down. While cleaning fish I had a snake come out of the water and was 6 inches from my ankle when I blasted him back into the water with a water nozzle.
They ended the morning with 24 cats for the cleaning table.
All fish caught under corks, in 3-6 foot water, using CJ's Shad punch bait.
I put my truck in the shop today, body work, where someone backed into me. So, off the water most of the week, until my truck is fixed.
