Ok new to hunting so don't laugh if I did something really stupid. My buddy let me borrow a game camera for a few weeks until I can get the money together.
My feeder is out with corn in it and the camera is up. I come back a few days later and check the sd card. a nice doe or two shows up several times. I think it was two different deer. I'm excited right being a first time hunter.
Well here is the possible screw up. I went to the feed store and got rice bran and more corn along with some molasses.
Dumped a few piles of rice bran out, poored a little molasses on top, and sprayed a little vanilla extra and water as a cover scent.
4 days later. All i have is a few coons. No more deer.
Is this normal? Did I over do it? Am I making things difficult. Should I just stick to corn? The lease is pretty congested so I'm trying to lure deer to my feeder and want every advantage.
