Does anyone just go fishing and find out what conditions are like on their own anymore? I thought that was part of learning how to figure out some things for yourself without having people to act as a "crutch".
I really enjoyed the article in the most recent TSF Magazine about "instant gratification" fishermen these days.
There is nothing wrong with having someone to guide you now and then but it seems lots of folks are really getting bad about trying to find the "easy button" to fish. What happened to going fishing sonewhere new and learning some things as you go? What is up with people thinking they have to see a report before they go fishing? Some guys are the ones making the reports and some are just riding coat tails I guess.
We all had people help us figure things out but I guess I am still hard headed and don't mind driving over 100 miles one way to find out if the trout are in the surf yet...
What do yall think?
