Today I had Kevin, wife Bianco, and daughters Xochil and Tanantzin out for a morning on Gibbons Creek. The winds were nice and light making for a beautiful day on the water. Tanantzin was champ today with biggest fish, a 5.25# blue cat. Every one caught fish and the two girls learned how to cast spinning reels for the first time.
The lake is full of water now, you have to step up into your boat at the pier. Also, Alligators are now present, so keep your eyes out when fishing.
They ended the day at 11 am with 87 cats in the cooler. Dad planned on frying a few up as soon as he got home.
All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, under corks, in 2-4 foot water.
