Do Your Due Diligence before used boat purchase.

When purchasing a used boat ask every question you can think of. If a tournament boat directly ask how hard they ran the boat. Get under the boat and address any problems you may have with gouges and deep scrathches. This major oversight by me cost me $2,200. While I know this is a pain in the butt take the boat out with a certified boat mechanic and have the boat and trailer looked over and have him drive and inspect the outboard motor for any damage. Trusting the sellers of the boat almost cost me an additional $5K. I am not saying don't buy a used boat but do your homework and work out things with the sellers becuase you croos the T's and dot the I's.
