Best time of year to fish Rockport?

We had a weekend booked in Rockport for a few of us for the first weekend in June, but we had to change it due to someone having to work that weekend.



The rest of June is out and I talked to the owner of the house, he said for him, over the past 20 years, July and August are much tougher fishing months.



Before I reschedule I wanted to see what you guys thought, for over all fishing, trout, reds, maybe flounder gigging at night, should we try to book next year in May/June or is it ok still in July/August?
