I am building a casting rod on a rainshadow that is a small diameter blank. The blank diameter at the front of the reel seat is 8.89mm and the back is around 9.16 so I don't know to go with a 8.5 or a size 9 reel seat? I will probably use an alps tex touch reel seat (assuming they are arborless???) because fuji doesn’t make an arborless reel seat less than size 9.5. Which size should I go with?
